I made a whole post talking about skincare products to treat acne a couple of weeks ago. However, I think it’s time I tackle the other aspect you have to keep a close eye on when it comes to clearing up your skin and that is what you’re putting into your body.

Sure, beauty products can help with the situation but it’s nothing compared to what clean eating can do for your face. Now, this is not a diet, I’m no nutritionist, and I won’t even attempt to lecture you guys about healthy eating habits (I’ll be one to talk!).

What I can do, is share this recipe with you that’s going to detox your body, and control the levels of fat in it, both of which are often the cause for some types of acne.



  • Half a glass of fresh orange juice / Medio vaso de jugo de naranja fresco
  • Half a centimeter of ginger root / Medio centímetro de raíz de jengibre
  • 5 freshly ground black peppercorns / 5 granitos de pimienta recien molidos
  • 5-6cm of freshly peeled aloe / 5-6cm de sábila recien pelada
  • 2tbsp of honey / 2cdas de miel de abejas
  • The juice of 1 lemon / El zumo de 1 limón

Throw all the ingredients into your blender, serve without ice and drink immediately afterwards. Do this every morning about half an hour before eating your breakfast for 30 days and you’ll notice an improvement not only on the inside but also on your hair and skin.
